WPF NEWSFLASH Latest news from the Welsh Photographic Federation

WPF NEWSFLASH 387 22.10.2008 –

1. Welsh Salon Closing Date – 2nd March at the AGM
You should be getting your entries together now to give to your Club’s Competition Secretary for delivery week Sunday, entry forms are available on www.thewpf.co.uk and you can only enter via your WPF Club – Good Luck!

Those members and Clubs who were successful last year are reminded to polish and return their trophies at the same time, or direct to Brian Coleman Salon Chairman.

2. Stolen Camera Equipment
Tony Love of Neath CC was unlucky to have his house burgled Wednesday and his camera bag and all his kit were taken, this included a new Nikon D300 Serial No. 8001202, Sigma EF500 flash gun, Tamron 18-200 Sigma 18-50 and Sigma 28-300, plus usual goodies like Cokin and Lexar equipment. If you are offered this kit or hear anything about brand new Nikon stuff being available obviously contact the Police but also drop an Email to Tony Love tonylove@ntlworld.com  you can’t ring his mobile as that was taken as well!

3.     Cotswold Monochrome Salon 2008

Can I draw attention of members of the WPF to some changes to the Cotswold Salon this year.
In the first place the Salon will be shown at Churchdown School and NOT at Blackfriars. The dates are the 12th to the 19th of July.

Secondly there are two new classes in addition to the usual Silver Print (Open and Portrait) and Digital Print (Open and Portrait).  The new classes are Digital Projected Image (Open and Portrait).
If anyone has difficulty in obtaining an entry form, which includes the rules, I have a supply here and I will be happy to send you one. The closing date is the 31st of May.
